B. Taxation

In the United States, Congress has the delegated “power of the purse.” The commonly cited portion of that power is the power to spend money. It’s this side of the power of the purse people usually point to in discussion. But there is another side to that power – the power to raise revenue. That is, Congress has the power to impose taxes. This subsection deals with that power and the limits surrounding it.
