F.4. Penalties for Frivolous Claims

The Federal Elections Commission will investigate any charges of frivolous use of challenge claims under this provision. If convinced of wrongdoing, they may choose to refer the investigation to the Executive agencies for potential charges of election interference.

A series of claims will be considered frivolous if there is a pattern of immaterial claims or numerous claims without sufficient evidence to win.
